ALL ON FOUR SYSTEM

Another application in implant treatment is hybrid, that is, implant tooth construction in 1 day. This method can be done when conditions are favourable. It is a treatment in which the tooth is made in the same session without waiting 3 months after the implant screw is placed into the bone.

WHAT IS ALL ON FOUR SYSTEM?

It is the most comfortable treatment option for the solution of partial or complete edentulism. However, after tooth loss, especially after the loss of all teeth, the jawbone loses in terms of height and width. In cases where this loss is severe, that is, in cases where the volume of the jawbone is very reduced, fixed prostheses can be made by using 4 implants in the lower jaw and 4 implants in the upper jaw (5 implants when necessary). This procedure is called all on four system. On the day the implants are placed, a temporary, fixed and immediately loaded full denture is prepared and placed on the implants. The surgical procedure is performed as in all implant surgeries. The only difference is that the implants placed in the posterior region are placed at a different angle.

In cases of complete edentulism, implants may not be placed in these areas as a result of the loss of the jawbone, the decrease in the distance between the nerve canal in the lower jaw, and the sagging of the sinus cavities in the upper jaw. In this case, implants placed only in the anterior region with the all on four technique may be the only option for fixed prostheses. Most of the patients with complete dentures cannot fully perform the chewing function over time due to the weak retention of the denture, especially in the lower jaw. Fixed prostheses, which can be made thanks to the All on four procedure, allow the patient to chew without pain and trouble. In addition, since the implants placed will prevent further melting of the jawbone, bone tissue is also preserved. Since the stability of the prosthesis is provided by the implants, the patients do not have to use larger prostheses.
